Final Update | Highway 6-Hunting Grounds Fencing Removal

On Wednesday August 18th Councillors Sid Nadjiwon, Miptoon, Nick Saunders, Saugeen Lands Manager Kirk Roote and Emily Martin from the Environment Office met with representatives from the Ontario Ministry of Transport (MTO) to supervise the removal of the fences along the Hunting Grounds. The fence removal went smoothly and all materials will be reused by the Saugeen and Nawash Land Management Departments. The Environment Office is continuing the conversation with MTO about how this happened without consulting SON and how to prevent it from happening again.
