The Coastal Waters Monitoring Program is back in the field, with their earliest season yet! 2021 is the first year of larval fish sampling for the crew.  Studying the larval period is important to increase knowledge of population dynamics and monitoring ecological changes in lake whitefish populations. The goal of this study is to investigate the distribution and abundance of larval lake whitefish using Stokes Bay and Baie du Dore, Lake Huron as areas of interest. Questions or want more info?
