Student Internship

Reports to: Senior Manager
Job Type: 2 Months Contract (July and August)
Job Level: Student Rate ($18.00 to $22.50 per hour)
Hours: Full time hours (37.5 hours per week)

The student internship position is a multi-faceted role that provides the candidate the opportunity to work in multiple different departments of the Environment Office. The role is a supporting role that could rotate between multiple departments as needed providing valuable support in administrative duties, hands on involvement in Community engagement and outreach as well learning valuable transferable skills for the future.
Required Experience:
- Must be between the ages of 16-24 years at the start of employment
- Must be a full time student and returning to studies in the fall
- Must have access to reliable transportation
- Knowledge of Google Workspace or Google drive
Recommended Experience:
- Minimum 1 year working within an Indigenous community
Job Description:
- Supporting multiple departments where needed
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Supporting data management activities and preparing engagement materials
- Various administrative tasks including filing, copying, organizing and computer work
- Involvement in planning events, up to and including set up and tear down
- Engagement as needed within Saugeen and Nawash First Nation
- Working closely with partners and the ability to take direction
- General duties as required
